The nation of Indonesia has 230 million souls that do not know the gospel of Christ. They represent the largest populated Islamic nation in the world. Indonesia is the only Islamic nation that allows conversion form Islam to Christianity.
The goal of the Batam School is to prepare Indonesian brethren to proclaim the gospel, teach, and lead the church.
Within the next 15 years the goal is to plant churches in fifty (50) major cities and maturing them to be indigenous churches within five (5) years. The school currently has facilities to handle 45 students. The school is recognized and accredited as a College of Religion in Indonesia.

• Solo Mission – Over 200 baptized and 7 churches planted since January 2000
• Duri Mission – 27 baptized since January 2004
• Batam Church – Over 300 baptized and 17 churches planted since 1992
Cost for one student is $100.00 per month
Once completed and sent to the field the cost is approximately $500 per month
GCR is sponsoring 10 students at this time or $1000.00 per month.

This is a very exciting work with the opportunity to reach thousands of lost souls and do so with local indigenous teachers that ware well accepted in the culture. The retention rate of those converted is quite high and it is common to convert complete families.
